Aid in response the earthquake in Haiti has begun pouring in from around the world.  Unfortunately, as we have seen in other disasters such Hurricane Katrina, the aid cannot arrive fast enough.

Read this article.  What types of relief supplies are on the ground but not getting to the people of Haiti?  Why the delay?

  1. everything happens for a reason. the earthquake happened for a reason. Haiti was over populated so god took care of that problem by an earthquake. thats how the cookie crumbles.

  2. The two things that is realy hard for them to get is food, and water. The delay reason is it is hard to find. Also most peple have to walk miles to get it. Plus most of it despered after the quake.

  3. We are helping Haiti people (it says americans have donated $355 million alone) and that we brought over food, water, baby formulas, antibiotics, pain killers, essentials basically but it is stuck in warehouses by air ports so it is hard to keep getting because they are running out so fast

  9. Baby formula, pain medication, antibiotics and other much-needed supplies are sitting on the tarmac and in warehouses at the airport in Port-au-Prince because the smaller earthquakes are slowing them down. the cities pier are moving slower because the north pier is unusable and the south pier is smaller. people are trying to do all they can to help treat the haitians but they are lacking alot of stuff like medicine and rubbing alcohol

  10. There are warehouses that have supplies in them. This would include baby formula, pain medication, antibiotics and much more. They are having problems getting the supplies to who there need to go to for many reasons. One is that there are still earthquakes going though Haiti. Also many roads are not able to be drove on and this is making it hard to get the supplies though. There are many planes and boats coming into the island. They have the supplies just cant get it to where it needs to be.
