  3. Everyone gathered to pay their respects to respect the soldier. There were people there that he didn’t even know. Which is a good thing? He served for us and his life was taken for us. No one should ever take that for advantage.

  8. Well this goes to show that we need to back off and leave Iraq. Its time to go, we fought our battle so now its time to back down. All were doing over there is wasting our own time and lives. Obviously its hopeless and Obama is not helping anything. He has this big plan but yet does he realize the more we send over the more that is going to get killed. He is just hurting us as a nation.

  9. this soldier was a true hero and deserves nothing less than respect for what he gave to save a dieing country and every idiot who lives in it. This was a horrible tragedy and the bad part is, i expect more of the same tragedy to happen.

  13. It is really sad that this happened. I couldn't even imagine if something like this happened to someone I know or even one of my family members. He was so young and probably had a lot going for him in life. I think that was done to honor this local hero was a good thing. He deserves what all was done, and he will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him.

  14. That’s amazing that people who didn’t even know him showed up to his funeral and supported him. I know when my cousin was shipped over sea’s to Iraq my only fears was that I would never see him again. Many people didn’t support the fact the others risk their lives for us on a daily basis. I think that the ceremony was beautiful thing.

  16. I am not glad that a young guy died in the war. It is nice that our community will take the time to honor the fallen solider. Also it means a lot when the bagpipes are player at a funeral. The only way you get that is if you are a hero in some way including fireman, polities, and military officers. It is hard for anyone to go to a funeral but many more people go out to see military service. This just shows that our country does support everything that our soldiers are doing for us.
