McGwire Admits to Steroid Use
This week Mark McGwire was the latest former major league star to admit to using steroids during his time in the Majors.
Read this article, in which former major leaguer Doug Glanville tells what it was like to play against Mark McGwire, and what he thinks about his admission of steroid use.
Does this admission change your opinion of McGwire? Have all the admissions of steroid use in baseball changed your opinion of the sport? Does McGwire (or any other admitted steroid user) deserve a place in the baseball Hall of Fame or should they be banned? Share your opinion in the comment section.

i think thats it is alright to use steroids because if you want to use them you should be aloud to use them. They act like everyone cant use them. it is a performance enhancing drug if you wanna get better you should be aloud to use it. I honestly think he didnt do anything wrong. They act like noone else uses them. Alot more people then everyone thinks uses them.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a big fan of Mark McGwire back a few years ago buy now that i know that he used performance enhancing drugs, i dont think he is on my top of favorites anymore. In my opinion, i think that any player who uses illegal drugs to get an advantage should not be allowed to play that sport anymore no matter how much they apologize. Also i think all of their stats should be taken away from them because they cheated to get there. If these players are being considered to be Hall of Famers i dont think they should ever be put in no matter what their stats say.
ReplyDeletei agree that it is bullcrap that he never came out with it untill now but i still have to say that he was an excelent ball player becasue 70homeruns is a preety good bit on steriods or not.
ReplyDeletemy opinion on mark all depends when he used the drug.during the years when he really shined it might make me think that he was a cheater.but if he took them during the time that he wasent doin really good then it is not as bad.
ReplyDeletethis does not change anything. everybody makes mistakes and he made one. big deal.
ReplyDeleteNo, it doesn't change my opinion on him because i don't know hime so i don't care what he does. You can't blame the sport for steroid usage it's the people so no it doesn't change my opinion on the sport. they definitely don't deserve a spot in the hall of fame because they cheated their way there.
ReplyDeleteSome what I mean to me they are wrong, and should be only given to people that need them. No not really I man what they did was wrong, but not all the players do them. They should be banned for using something that is not allowed in that sport.
ReplyDeletei remember when i was alot yougner i always was seeing and earing about mark McGuire and his steroid use and how he always denied it and no hes coming out and saying that he does use muscle inhancers and i really donot see the big deal about steroids its just a faster way to get muscle but i do not think he should be accepted in the hall of fame because all he did was lie and denied his steroid ussage the wole time
ReplyDeleteWhat this played did was not right. I mean it's not because is a disavantage to the other playes and teams. Although if he wants to do that its his life, i dont care. They should not be in the hall of fame because they got help getting there. They did not do it naturally. This dont really change my opinion on him. He just wanted to get bigger, and there is nothing wrong with that its just unfair to the other players. If he wants to take the risk and do it, let him.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a big interest in baseball, but what this baseball player did, I don't think is right. I don't think any sports player doing whatever sport should use steriods. Most of his players are probably dissappointed in him for doing something like that. I don't know whether he deserves a place in the Hall of Fame or not because of this reason. I don't see why someone who did that would want to be in the Hall of Fame, and be remember by doing steriods.
ReplyDeleteI think they should just let McGuire and other steroid users in the hall of fame because steroids doesnt effect too much of how you play but more of how you act and look. It's not like there was a way of them cheating through the game to get them where they are today.

ReplyDeleteI think that a lot of athletes take some of steroid, or drugs but I dont think that he should be banned from the hall of fame. And I think it is bad that he dose steroids, but if you havent noticed he a big time player so why not jsut give him another chance and just put him in rehab? And if they find him doing steroids then I would kick him out of baseball because he had a warning
ReplyDeletei think that he should not have lied about talking the Steroid, and he shouldnt have taken them at all. i really dont watch baesball but if this is the first problem he has had they should gave him another chance. everyone makes mastics and that was his..
