Why is it important to remember those in the “forgotten war”? Do you know anyone who has served in this war? Why is it important to recognize them now, when it occurred so long ago? Is it important to honor veterans of major wars or conflicts, or anyone who has served this country? If you served our country would you want a ceremony thanking you, or is the pride you feel from serving good enough?

  1. Because they gave us there freedom. my pap was a marin in the war. If they would have not gone and did that we mit be the country that we are to day. Yes because they gave there lives for us, and most people don't realize that. Yes i would because I could have died over there and I would want to be honred.

  2. It is very important to remember these people, because they was out there fighting for our safety while we was home doing absolutely nothing. We should honor anyone who has served for our country , because they all helped us get through the good, and the bad times’ would certainly want a ceremony , but not thanking, more of recognizing me for what I have done for this country.

  4. i personally think we should honor veterans because they fought for us to be free, and they and it builds a line of confidence between them. If i served our country i would hope to have some ceremony saying thanks for protecting us. I feel that is saying a whole lot about America if we support our troops.

  6. It’s important to remember them because they put their life on hold for you and me. I Think My Great Grandfather was in this war. He was very open about being in wars. Because you want them to know that you care for the freedom they gave us and all the hard work they did. My opinion it is important to honor them to show appreciation. If I served in a war I would love to have something to honor all the hard work I did along with the others who helped.

  7. It is important to remember the people who sevred in the forgotten war because they still fought for us and our rights and the rights for others. I personally do not know anyone who served in that war. Its important because that war got us so far and hardly anyone realises it. Yeah i would say celebrating veterans day. If i was in any war I would want to be celebrated because i couldve been gone for months or even years serving our country for other people. I would atleast want some respect bc of it.
