Do you think the punishment fit the crime? Is this a criminal act or just kids being kids? Why do you think the school found it necessary to arrest the children involved? What message does it send to the rest of the school and the community? Is that a type of community and school you think would make model citizens? Why or why not?

this was a bunch of crap ,kids being kids its just harmles fun. But for the kids to get arrested, it shows that the disiplin has goten way to serious and very stuipid. the people have their heads way to far up their ass to realize that these are just little kids.
ReplyDeletei belive that the punishment was ridicuolus. it is clearly just kids. i think there school is like ours and they punish kids for the littlest things. i guess i cant throw food or i will be arrested. i think that any community can make model students.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the artical on the food fight in chaicg, it really dissaponted me. Not the food fight but the arresses made. Those kids did not deserve the punishment the got they were just being kids. If it was something like shoplifting then yes the do deserve to get arrested, but a food fight? I think the punisment the shold get is to clean up the cafateria.
ReplyDeleteI do not think the punishment fits the crime at all! It is just simply kids being kids. The school was probably being like tyrone and think their big shots and that they never did anything like that as kids. So they probably just arrested them to make a name. Personally, i think it shows how pathetic some schools are, and that most teachers dont care about educations just how much will be on their next paycheck. So their grumpy. Well, I dont think they would make model citizens if they expect kids to grow up they need to let the kids try something so they can!
ReplyDeleteno, because kids are being kids and they should not get in all that trouble for just haveing fun. like i already said they are being kids they should notget locked up for just trying to have a little fun. so that all the other kids that wernt involed dont think that they can have a food fight and get away with it.
ReplyDeleteit showa that the school is very strict and dont likethe kids to have fun. likeifkids got into a foodfight here i think all they would do is suspend the people who started it, and that would be the end of it,and about the last qustion i dont really have an answer for.. i think that they should just suspend them for a couple days and let them come back to school. the school distric dont have to take it that far.
i dont think the students should of been pu nished as much as they were because kids will be kids and every school has food fights i think it was completly wronge unless it happend like 20 times that year and they gave them many warnings but still they shouldnt be arested for there childish things the cops should be looking for criminals not high school food fights really pathetic
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the kids should be arrested for this. I honestly think it's just kids being kids. I mean I would love if our school had a food fight, it would actually give some excitment throughout the day. It doesn't really send a message about the rest of the school and community. I'm sure the kids who started the food fight we're named for something else that happened before. A food fight isn't a crime. . so I don't see why they would call it a "criminal act".
ReplyDeleteI don't think they should have taken to jail because they are not abutls. Thiis was kids having fun like we all like to do most of the time. So they mit not start another one. That if they start a food fight that is what mit happen to them. No because being suspended for twp days is not a big punishment.
ReplyDeletewhat I am really tring to say is they should not have went to jail the school should have called home, and said come get your child because he/she was in a foof fight. But they still should have gave them at least two weeks. If I was the parents of those kids I would pres charges on the school.
No I do not think the punishment is right for them kids. Especially because of how old they are. It was a food fight not a bombing threat.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think having a food fight is not a crime. I think it is kids having a good time. Sure they should get punished for it, but thrown in jail? I dont think so... Especially if no one was hurt.
I think the school found it necessary for the kids to get arrested because they want to let them know that there school is not a playground and youre only there to learn not oof off. I also think they found it necessary because they do not want other schools to look at them like they dont punish there children and let them do what they want when they want to.
The message I would have to say they had brought to most people is they dont mess around when it comes to punishment and misbehaving kids.
I would definitly not like to go to that school. It seems to me that they are way to strict for me to handle. id probably be kicked out with in a month or two of that school because i hate it when teachers are strict and mean and try to give students to worst punishments they can find. Even if it is there first time getting in trouble. Like for most of the kids that were in the food fight.
I think the punishment was way out of hand, it was just kids being kids and if you take the fun of that from a kid then I can promise you that the world would never be the same, for the simple fact the kids are the main reason they want to stay I alive day by day. Most parents go through a lot, and it is their kids that emotionally help the through there problems.
ReplyDeleteHonestly the community should have no say in it, at least there kids like to have some fun, and they are still growing at that age they have not matured yet so imp sure most of them Weill be model citizens.
This sounds pretty stupid there just kids. The charges were reckless conduct and a misdemeanor, so they decided to throw 25 kids in jail because of it. It was kids just being kids and all they did was throw a little food. Yes it mey be dangerous but the punishment dosent fit the crime at all.
ReplyDeleteI think they should of atleast got a detention or suspended for a few days but not put into jail. The crime was small and they shouldn't of been hauled to jail without parents consent either.
