Current Events Week 3 Sports

What do you think about this article? Do you think prosthetics are fair? Is this a way to be fair to everyone who wants to compete or is it giving people an unfair advantage? Should these people be able to compete in competitive events like the Olympics? Why or why not

  1. I can go both ways whether i think it's fair or not. The way I do think it is fair is because they have some kind of disadvantage. If that was me even though I could run fast, I still wouldn't want fake legs. It might be more difficult too, but obviously I wouldn't know.

The way I don't think it is fair because they are fasters runners than people with normal legs. If I was a runner and I had to be competing again someone with fake legs, and knew that they were fasting runners, I probably wouldn't be too happy. So I guess I could go both ways on that.

  4. I do not think that prosthetics are fair. It is giving people an unfair advantage. Yes they should be able to compete but against other people who have the same things. not against a person with regular legs. I think that also they would have other events available to the people with prosthetic legs. I think that it would be unfair for the kids with regular legs because they already work that hard and they cant do anything more than a human ability. Although i think they should have their own special olympics.
