Do these prisoners have the right to a prestigious college education? Between them they have to serve 600 years in prison. If some of these prisoners are serving life sentences is it even worth them taking this course? Every Wednesday regular students come and take part of the discussion with these inmates, how would you feel if you had a class with murders, drug dealers, and kidnappers? Would their viewpoints be different than yours? Are these people all thugs that shouldn’t be listened too, or could they raise valid points in a intellectual discussion?

Yes these prisoners have the right to a prestigious college education.Even if they are serving a life term they still deserve a education. I wouldnt feel to scared or anything if i went to a school with them. I mean if they are going to school obviously they are trying to make a change and better themselves. If you were a inmate and even were in jail for a while then you would wanna go to school to. I think they could raise valid points in intellectual discussion because they have been there, they know what its like for some cases. They can tell you from what its really like to what you can just imagine. So i think its only right that we would allow them to take courses as we would.
