Current Events Week 4 Technology

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/17/business/energy-environment/17power.html?ref=technology

Do you think paying the extra money to “go green” is worth it? Would you still pay if you knew that most of your fee wasn’t going into the actual resources? If only 2% of the population are interested in this new technology is it worth it? Will it ever catch on to more of the population? Or will more people continue to pay cheaper prices even though it is slowly destroying the environment?

  1. I think that it would be worth it if you knew all of it actually went to reasuch and trying to help the enviorment. But if some cheapscate is going to take it all then he will have some very angry people to deal with. And if only a few people know about it and its helping then people will actually join in to try to help the earth out.

  2. Yes i do think it is worth paying extra money to go green. it helps the earth and if we keep on getting worse each year then why not? Who would want to live in a disgusting world where everywhere you look theres trash and no fresh air around?
I would still pay to go green even if most of the money went somewhere else. If it helps make the world i healthier place then i dont really care.
I think it is worth it even if only 2% was doing it. that two percent could make a huge difference.
If everyone would give it a chance i bet theyd all like it. So yeah i do think if they keep at going green more people would catch on to it. I bet there are a ton of people who dont even know about going green yet. And if tey are interested in going green but they stoped then what? the go green people would regret stopping there sales.

  3. Yes i think going green is worht it but it can be expensive. I dont know if i would pay because on a small amount is going towards actual resources but i might cause the earth is being destroyed.I think that business and such need to get people more interested so that more people acutally know whats going on and so that more can start to go green.
